I got the Elite groups 915P-A mobo with the AGP express and a PCE slot

I hooked it up to my X-Dreamer 2 Case witha 420 20pin powersupply using a 20-24 pin adapter
the machine just wont boot

the CPU im using is the pentium 4 600 series 3.0Ghz 2mb

occasionaly the machine starts then shuts down just as suddenly

I have no idea why

any ideas as to why? or what i should re check?

Check the position of the cmos jumper. Some manufacturers actually leave them in the "clear" position to keep the mobo battery from draining. Also, check to be sure you have the heatsink fan plugged into the correct header for the cpu fan. And if all else fails, remove the board from the case, and place it on a phonebook or the box it came in. Using just one stick of memory, cpu/heatsink, and video, try a minimal boot, and see if it will post.
