Need help with mobo/cpu/GPU card

MSI Neo4 Mobo,
2 hard drives ,
Asus Geforce 6800GT Graphix card.
300W PSU (is it enough?)

Unfortunately, when i power it up, NOTHING shows up on the monitor (which works). The diagnostic leds, all light up red and stay that way (which says that the processor is either damaged/not mounted properly).

I checked the mounting, even removing and reinstalling the heat sink/fan the other way in the retention mechanism. Once I mounted the heat sink and fan, I rotated the fixed lever. At first, I stopped when the safety hook touched the fixed bolt, but when the D-LEDs kept saying that the proc is not mounted properly, I bent the frame attaching the fixed lever to the safety hook so that the safety hook is beneath the fixed bolt. But I get the same four red LEDs which say the processor is either damaged/not mounted properly. Someone please help. Thanks.

Also, can i have some input from owners of this particular mobo? Have you experienced anything similar to this at all? Thanks in advance.
