Need help with memory for EP-8kda3j

Just finished new build :

A64 3400+
EP-8kda3j Bios 01/05/05
Nforce 5.10
Pny GT6800 Nvidia v. 66.93 @stock clock
Sound Blaster X gamer w/xp live drive update
WinXP Home SP2
Pair of Maxtor ata 133 drives
Pair of Optical drives.

Here is my problem I bought 2 sticks of GeIL 512mb Ultra Platinum PC3200 CAS 2-6-3-3 1T after checking compatibility .

I under stand that to run at 400mhz 1 stick has to be single sided, mine are both double sided. So I should be able to run at 333 with this updated BIOS.

But it is very unstable with both sticks in crashing in 2d/3d apps. But is only stable with 1 stick in slot 3 ONLY! Either stick works well like that. So I have tried every concievable timinng adjustment including voltage and underclock. Please help me get this system stable with both sticks. I need at least a gig to game with.

Thanks,

Dave

Yes, Also with new bios update the 2T option is gone buit I can manually selet CAS RAS TRAS etc. setting but only at 1T. Even if I disable the auto option and configure manually.

Yeah, i think its just a limitation of this board... and why its so cheap.

I also have the same problem, i have 1 DS 512 and 2 SS 256. Wanted to run them all for 1GB, but can only run the 512 w/ a 256. If someone can figure out a way around that, id sure like to know about it 🙂

What i dont understand is how the board can claim that it can run 3gb of memory, but it doesnt even post when i put all 3 sticks in.
