Need help with memory decision...

I've been debating on whether to jump to DDR over the regular PC133 RAM I've been using lately. I just went out and bought a ECS K7S5A and an AMD XP1600+ to upgrade my computer for video editing. Will I really notice a difference that'll make the $100 difference justifiable over having 512 MB of DDR compared to the 768 MB of PC133 I'd have (new 512 chip with the 256 I currently have)?

I notice little/no difference between my 1.2ghz, 384mb PC 133 system and my 1.0ghz, 256mb DDR system. I'm a gamer though... haven't touched video editing. But neverthless I will change... once prices drop back to the 256mb = $25 price.
