I'm building my first home theater PC. The video card I'm using is an nVidia 6600 GT. It has dual DVI and a 10-pin dongle for connecting component cables, s-video and the like.

When I change settings to show any of the HDTV resolutions (480p, 720, etc), this happens:

For some reason, it always cuts off parts of the desktop, and I haven't found a way to fix this. I've tried:

1.) Different resolutions.
2.) Trying both DVI direct to the TV and the dongle.
3.) Changing refresh rates (not sure if this'd actually make a difference).

So far, I haven't found a way to display this correctly. 480i works -- it's just extremely fuzzy. Has anyone run into this "desktop slicing" before? Is there a tool I can use to fix this? I could've sworn there was a zoom feature built-in to nVidia's drivers (I unfortunately don't have one on my TV).

By the way, everything else I use (HD Tivo, Xbox, etc) runs fine at HDTV resolution. Nothing is ever cut off. For what it's worth, the TV is a Sony WEGA 40".
