I'm hoping someone can help me with an annoying problem.
I just added a Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless access point with router to my network. It is connected to the cable modem and acting as the firewall/router/DHCP server.
I have a couple PC's on the wireless network at this point and I am having a few minor problems.
1) I can no longer log on to hotmail or any other web based email site
2) I can no longer submit forms on the web (such as posting to anand forums)
3) With WEP enabled (40bit) throughput is about 30kbytes/sec on the wireless network
With WEP disabled, throughput is about 250kbyte/sec on the wireless network
Before I added the access point, I was using peer to peer adhoc with the same wireless cards and I was averaging 500kbyte/sec with 128bit WEP enabled.
Problem #3 doesn't bother me much, but I'm hoping someone can help me resolve #1 and #2.
My old setup was to have 1 PC connected to the cable modem, and sygate NAT software running on it. Wireless connection between the two PC's. Both worked fine.
Thanks!
