need help with Linksys router

ok, I've had my netwrok setup for quite a while (linksys BFSR41), but recently change the phone # that my DSL was on. I know I have a new logon name and password too. I was trying to access the router at 192.168.1.1, but it was requesting a password and logon, I remember that there was a default logon and password, but it's been setup for a year, and I've forgotten it.

does anyone with this router remember the password? I tried to get it off linksys site, but the suppor page seemed to be down. I'm pretty sure I left it default, and hope I havent changed it or I'm screwed, if the default doesnt work I plan to call linksys for a walkthrough.

any advise for changing the line to get it resetup would be apprecaited!

If it's anything like the Linksys WRT54G that I just bought yesterday, the default username is blank, and the password is admin. If that doesn't work, Linksys makes all the user manuals available here.

Thanks, that sounds familiar. I appreciate the link as well, I tried to go to the knowledge base on their site earlier today, but it was down.

All the Linksys routers I have used use admin for the password with the username blank. If you have changed it from default and can't remember it push a pin into the reset hold and hold it down for 5 seconds or so and it will reset the router back to default and admin as the password.
