Need help with Leadtek 2000XP Tuner

The tuner is great, and so is the software. I just have one problem. When i schedule to record, the DVR program would turn on, and record. But it doesn't not shut itself down. And when this happens it just stays and the monitor cannot go into standby mode. Does anyone have a workaround for this?
