Need help with IRQ's

I was having problems with my soundcard, and tech support found a problem: the sound card is sharing IRQs with some other things that it shouldnt. There dosent seem to be any free, ether. One device dosn't function because it cant find one.
There does seem to be repititions, though. ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering is in there three times, and VIA Bus Master PCI IDE Controller is in there twice. Are these supposed to be in there so many times?
The tech told me to contact Microsoft or my motherboard manufacturer to have them changed, but I want to see if I can do this myself first.
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks alot!

need more info on your mobo.
As well all devices you have on your mobo.
that way, we can help you switch around the devices in different slot.

Here you go:

Motherboard is an Asus P3V4X

IRQs:
00 - System timer
01 - Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural Keyboard
02 - Programmable interrupt controller
03 - Communications Port (COM2)
04 - Communications Port (COM1)
05 - 3Com Fast EtherLink XL 10/100Mb TX Ethernet NIC (3C905B-TX)
05 - Initio INI-9XXXU/UW or inic-950 PCI to SCSI Controller
05 - VIA Tech 3038 PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
05 - ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering
06 - Standard Floppy Disk Controller
07 - ECP Printer Port (LPT1)
08 - System CMOS/real time clock
09 - SCI IRQ used by ACPI bus
10 - Monster Sound II Multifunction Parent
10 - Monster Sound II PCI Audio
10 - ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering
11 - NVIDIA GeForce DDR
11 - ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering
13 - Numeric data processor
14 - VIA Bus Master PCI IDE Controller
14 - Primary IDE controller (dual fifo)
15 - VIA Bus Master PCI IDE Controller
15 - Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo)

The Multifunction Parent cannot share an IRQ with the actual sound card, and
it certainly cannot share with the PCI Steering. The PCI Steering IRQ can
only be shared with a PCI video adapter. The Emulator is not getting an IRQ
simply because you have too many peripheral devices. The USB, SCSI
controller, and NIC card alone take up great amounts or resources. I suggest
that you contact your motherboard manufacturer or Microsoft and have all of
your IRQs manually switched/reset/re-assigned. This and the reference
drivers are the only ways I can imagine this card will work for you.

Hope this helps you help me😉

Ouch..

NIC
SCSI card
Video
sound

try this.....

Video on AGP
Sound on PCI 2 (monster sound use 2 IRQ)
Nic on PCI3
Scsi on PCI 5

go to you bio and disable one of comm port to free an IRQ. (hey, disable both, if you don't need it)

Disable ACPI, for now.
"Force ESCD" or Enable "Reset configuration data"

see if it will re-organize your system irq.
if it does, enablee ACPI later. (generally, I always disable ACPI)
