New poster here :)

So I'm looking to get a new monitor that's 27" and IPS preferably. Right now I have a TN monitor but would like to venture into the IPS world of gaming. Currently my gpu is a SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 7950 3GB 384-Bit. Games I play are MMO's competitively, will be playing new ones that come out so would like to be able to play them on at least high settings. I play FPS sometimes but I can always use my TN for that if needed. I do play DayZ a lot though.

I've been searching sites like http://www.ipsledmonitors.com and I notice all the 1440p monitors need DVI-D and see mine only has DL-DVI-I. Does this mean I'm either stuck getting a new gpu or just not being able to run 1440p? What would be my best bet IPS wise if my budget is $400 for gaming?

Thanks for the help

Your card has one DVI-D (Dual link). It will work with the proper cable.

Will I still be able to get the full resolution with an adapter?

Thanks for the reply

The card can support 4K out of the HDMI and Display port.
