When I am in Internet Explorer-5, and click on "tools > internet options > advanced" and then scroll down to "search from the address bar > when searching" there are 4 options to choose:
1. Display results, and go to the most likely site.
2. Do not search trom the address bar.
3. Just display the results in the main window.
4. Just go to the most likely site.
Normaly there is no option selected. When I select "just go to the most likely site" and then click "apply" and close, I can go back later and look, it will still be selected. BUT the first time I type in a address in the address bar and try to go to that web page, it never does. It ALLWAYS goes to Microsofts search engine page. I can then go back and look at the options, there will be none selected again. Anyone know why a change that I select, and apply, is not staying the way I choose? It drives me nuts to type in a address, and have it ALWAYS go to Microsofts web site first. There has to be a way to make it "just go to the most likely site" and stay the way I choose. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
