NEED HELP WITH HOME SECURITY

Hello All.
I am not sure if I am publishing it in the right section...may be someone can tell me where to publish this.
In any case, here it goes.
I need some help or may be suggestions about setting up a security camera at home. We are planning to hire a babysitter and I would like to make sure that everything is recorded to my PC and may be even be able to monitor it from work by logging in to the camera or my PC at home.
I tried to look at Newegg (great site!!!) and they do have few options and all of them say that that is all I need if I buy that camera....you know how that goes
May be someone here can point me to the right direction or suggest something? As I said, I would prefer a wireless device because of a distance (about 100-150 feet) and also, I would like to have a video recorded constyantly to my PC for at least 4-6 hours a day.
I am totally lost here and I really hope that someone can help.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

How about the legality of videoing someone without their knowledge.
Is there a reasonable expectation of privacy for a babysitter in someone's home?

Let me ask YOU first. Why did you assume that she has no knowledge of Video camera presence? So basically, if there is a video recording involved, you automatically assume that it is a spy camera and "poor" person has no idea that he (she) is being video taped? Is that it? How about poor kids that are being abused by "poor" babysitters? Have you thought about that? Also, you automatically assume that I have just hired help under the books and again, ?poor? person has no rights and it is YOUR responsibility to fight for their rights? ILMAO!!! PATHETIC. When you are at work, do you get privacy on company premises? Except for the rest room? I think NOT. And also, do you have children? I would assume NOT but, I may be mistaken. Going by your post, you do not have children. If you did, you would be more concerned about well being and safety of your child I am sure.
In any case, I did NOT ask for legality of this issue (although we signed a contract with babysitter, just FYI). I asked about technical part of this.
If you have any suggestions, please post it. I'd appreciate any help with TECHNICAL part of this.
