here is my home network setup that i want

DSL modem -->> wireless_router_1 -->> gigabit switch --> couple of PCs
gigabit switch(from above)-->powerline ethernet --> wall --> powerline ethernet --> wireless_router_2 (access point) --> bunch of wired pcs (xbox, replatv) and wireless laptops

currently i have the first wireless router providing wireless to all the laptops and stuff, i want to integrate the xbox and others into the network and also i will be using my laptop in and around the wireless_router_2 area, i want my laptop to connect to this router since it will have stronger signal and its a dd-wrt modded. how do i acheive this? is this possible? or should i just keep the wireless from the first router?

Use the Wireless Routers MAC filter so that it can connect only to one Router.

I do not know how your system works, you have two connections directly on the Modem, that is a path to trouble if you do not have two external IPs.
