Ok, heres my problem...
On Windows 98, everytime i try to install drivers for this decoder card, my machine first detects the device but will never detect the drivers for the card in whatever directory i saved these in... So i have to install them manually(selecting them from a list) But everytime it starts copying the drivers to my computer... my cpu freezes! This pisses me off. The only drivers that work with it r the ones that came on the original disks----and those suck----Ive tried everything on the sigmadesigns site, even e-mailed them(oh yeah, they havent replied)
In windows 2000... everything goes fine during driver installation, but then when i reboot... Well, it freezes at the windows 2000 screen...Fun huh, wow! Great stuff.

Well, if anyone has an answer to this problem, please....i mean PLEASE! feel free to respond, or else im gonna have to kick this piece of junk decoder card right in its !@#@!#@!#!!

Oh yeah cpu is duron 600, kt7 mobo, voodoo3 3000, 128 mb ram... sblive
Thx everyone

Do you have Power DVD installed? I had PowerDVD installed on my system and it would not let me load he drivers for the H+. I have not been able to get these two things to work together....they just refuse to cooperate.

I think you need the latest drivers. I had exactly the same problem. The drivers from the CD didn't work.

Download the latest drivers and I think you shouldn't have a problem.

AngelofDeath and ndee, he said in his post that he has tried the drivers from their site and they didn't work. He said the only ones that worked were the ones on the CD that came with it, but he didn't like those.

My friend got this card under a nother name. When asked to direct windows to the dc that came with the card to get the drivers it couldn't find them. I couldn't find the driver file manually either as the folders wouldn't open. I had to use the drivers on my cd, a different version of the same card. The instruction manuel was a joke.

Even if he does have the card under a different name (one example is the Jaton MagicDVD) it still can use the Sigma Designs drivers, just like any nvidia card can use the th nvidia reference drivers. The reason i know this is because i currently use Sigma's 1.7 drivers and DVD Station 1.8.2 with my Jaton board, which is a H+. Though my sugesstion, is make sure you clear out your system.ini and win.ini along with all the driver files whenever you try and install the card, check the inf from the drivers to see where are the files are put and the entires placed into system and win .ini files.
