Need help with HDTV and sat. reciever. AHHH!

Trying to hook up my HDTV to my 6000U HD satellite reciever.

I bought some component cables (cost me 100$), hooked the sat. to HD1 on my toshiba widescreen, but no image. I put the reciever in HD mode, (the blue light is on), the sound plays, but no picture using the components.


Any idea's?

I checked see if there was any voltage coming out of the components in the sat receiver and there is, but only in HD mode. THis is a good thing.

I also tested out my cables by connecting them to my DVD player and they work, so I'm guessing theres a setting to enable HD or something..

Try toggling the output on the receiver to 1080i, almost all direct view HD sets can handle that. If that doesn't work try s-video to see if you are getting any picture out of the box.

S-Video works fine. But nothing out of the components.

Both the settings on my receiver and TV are at 1080i.
