So, i have the 6BXE mobo. It doesnt recognize any HD I put on it, but it will recognize any optical drive. I checked jumpers on HD, with Master the PC hangs on Detecting Master IDER, if on Slave it hangs detecting Slave. My theory is that the hard drives are too new and I need to update the BIOS.

Possible BIOS updates needed
So, according to the BIOS update listed, it will support 75 gig HD's. The first drive I tried was an 80 gig, the second a 40 gig. So, is it possible the BIOS update is what I need?
