sorry to post this here, but I figure this way I could get answer fast.
I'm just starting to learn Frontpage 2000, everything is fine except guestbook.
I can make a guestbook but I can't see the result.
I use the standard template (and perk it up a bit) that Frontpage provide.
It says that the result will be save in guestlog.htm (the guestbook is guestbook.htm)
but after making some comment, the guestlog.htm is still empty.
can anyone help me ?
the website is here.
thanks in advance for any help

Don't you need your server to support Frontpage extensions or something? I don't think your server supports it...

yes, the server does support frontpage extension and I've make sure that I've enabled it.
by the way I use @home.
I'd use Dreamweaver too but can't afford it (got frontpage from friend)

Is the frontpage guestbook ASP or Perl? I believe it's perl? The proper server privelages might not be set up ... i.e. CHMODing the directory and files to 666 or 777 so they can be written to...and does your @home space support CGI extensions?

I could be wrong though, cause I don't use FP.

try running it on Personal Webserver on your own machine.

frontpage works as either an exe extension (binary) on unix and as a dll under NT.

Good luck, i administer a uber-huge frontpage server, and its a total bitch to take care of the folks that mess it up constantly.

ugh... dont get me started about this crapware. learn notepad. learn dreamweaver4. learn anything but frontpage.
