Need help with front panel indicators and switch connections.

Hello, I'm a first time PC builder trying to figure out the positive side of front panel indicator and switch connectors so I can plug them into the motherboard header as specified in the motherboard manual. I'm using an older model Antec KS 282 case w/o a manual and an ABT NF7-S motherboard. The connectors from the front panel have a triangular symbol on one side of the plastic connector. In each case I notice that of the two leads going into these plastic connectors, the lead going into the side of connector with the triangular symbol is black. The motherboard manual states that plugging these connectors in with the wrong orientation could cause a system malfunction. I'd hate to damage anything by guessing. Can any body out there tune into this and offer some advice? Thanks very much in advance.

Switches: doesn't matter, either way will work (if you get the plug onto the correct pins)

LEDs: put the plug onto the pins and see if the LED lights up when it ought to. If not... pull the plug off the pins and flip it over. You won't hurt anything by plugging in either type "upside down."

System malfunction? The worse thing I've seen happen from plugging an indicator LED in the wrong way was that it didn't work until you fixed the orientation. I highly doubt you can damage anything just from plugging a connector in backwards.

In any case, those arrows are probably to help you get the orientation right (LEDs are polar elements, they don't work if you plug them in backwards). Check your documentation again, it might tell you which side the arrow is supposed to be on when plugging in the connector.

Some cases use all white wires for the ground (-), some all black. Regardless, there will be a common color for all of the neg wires; the one of a kind colors are pos. The speaker usually has red and black, black being the neg.
