Need help with EpoX 8KHA+

Okay here is the situation. I used to run an Epox 8K7A for quite sometime along with a AMD 1.33. This setup ran flawlessy with no problems whatsoever since Xp was released last year. About 3 weeks ago I purchased an Epox 8KHA+ to replace my current mobo. This mobo has been running great. However, at random intervals(sometimes 1 day, sometimes a week) I will boot up and get UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME and the system will not load Windows. I have found a way to fix this by going into Windows XP Repair utility and doing a FIXBOOT. However, the problem eventually comes back and I have to do a repair again. Anyone know what could possibly be causing this? As I mentioned above this system runs perfect except when this happens and this never happened before when I had my 8K7A. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Hmm, have you tried backing up the data, nuking partition, reinstalling OS, and moving data back? You may need to reinstall OS...oh and another IDE cable for the HDD may help also.

Wait, I'm not sure if I'm getting this right, but did you just transfer your HDD over to the new board? without reformatting? If you did that could be the source of your problems, try reformatting and doing a fresh install.

Nope i actually did a totally fresh install the first time. Then, after this happened the first time I had no clue how to fix it so I reformatted even again. When it happened after that I figured out how to fix it using repair utility. However, the problem still happens randomly. When I do the FIXBOOT it tells me my boot sector is corrupt so it writes a new one. What could be causing the sector to go bad?

Hmmm I wonder if the HD is going bad maybe worth trying with another HD ,what Bios are you using might be worth flashing to the latest version,I don`t really have any other ideas.

I am guessing it's your Hard Drive... What kind of HD are you using? I hope it's not IBM Deskstar... THEY SUCK!
