Need help with E6600/P5WDH o/c

I'm looking for people running a week 24 E6600 with the early version of the P5WDH (1.65 MCH), running at 400 FSB, or higher. I have tried and tried, and can't even get my rig to post at 400. So, if you have the above components, and are running at 400 or higher, on air, I'd love to know your BIOS config.

Thanks.

With the latest bios 14xx, you should be able to lower your multi to 8 and see how high if you motherboard can do 400fsb, if it can, then it may be your cpu limiting your oc.

I tried a few different BIOS configs as suggested by users on the xtremesystems forums, with some success. The problem is that way too much vcore is required for 400 FSB - 1.475v using the 8 multiplier, and 1.5v with 9. Temps just shoot up.

I think I'll just stick with 333, and be happy with that.

You can also try one more thing, and use lower memory dividers with looser timings to see if that helps.

I find that anytime you overclock cpu/motherboard/ram, you need to loosen as much as you can to find the max cpu oc first.

It take over 1.4vcore if I use 5-4-4 timings, and only 1.375vcore to use 5-5-5 timings on my ram to get my cpu oc stable (Orthos testing).

Actually, I found that I absolutely had to run SPD enabled, in order to boot at ~400 FSB. Even manually setting looser timings was a no-go.

I always appreciate the tips, though.
