Try installing or updating the ASPI layer software (DL from Adaptec.com). Yes I know it says for SCSI, but it does some magic for optical drive operation too for some reason. Also updating your drive's firmware might help. Check the mfr's FAQ to see if they have seen your problem before. Have you tried to read a disk that wasn't made by itself - perhaps it really ISN'T burning correctly...
. Failing that, remove the drive from Device Manager, reboot and let it be redetected. If that don't work contact the mfr's tech support, maybe RMA time...
