need help with dual monitors

just got my 2005fpw to go alond with my 710N, i am having trouble getting dual monitors to work the way i want it. i want my desktop on the one monitor probably the 2005fpw, and then have my 710N as alomost extra space where i can put internet windows and what not. in nview, all i get is single, close, span horizontal and span vertical. any help is appreciated and sorry if this is dumb. also i have not installed drivers for the fpw, but would that matter? thanks ahead
 
connect both monitors then restart, you should get dualview option. im not sure if there is other way around to get dualview option besides this.

i got one more now though, is there away to have different backgrounds on the each monitor or no, do they just stay the same?
