Hey guys, sorry if this was already posted, I couldn?t find it in the forums. I needed to have ME and 2000 in order to play all of the games I wanted. I started with ME and dropped 2K on top of it. Here is my question. Do I have to install the programs again on to 2K or is there some way to find them in the c drive and use them from there. It seems counterproductive to have all of office XP in two places, all of NERO in two places, etc, etc. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.🙂

I have mine setup like this:

C:\ Win98
D:\ Win2K
E:\ Programs

I just install both into the E drive, as long as you run the install under both OS it seems fine. Be careful when installing any OS specific software, if that occurs then obviously install into the relevant partition.

Just to double check on this. So if I want office in both places. I already have it on me in the c drive. So all i would then have to do is load up 2k and install it in the same place again. Does it drop two versions or just one. Thansk for any help.

Yes you will have two versions since many programs write to the registry of Win98 and Win2k. If you setup Win2k on a
FAT32 Partition and have the executable program file on win98, from there
you can install it on Win2k. Nice thing about dual boot is you dont need
Office on both systems.
