Need help with Dead Space 2 final boss fight

I am having the hardest time with the final boss fight in Dead Space 2. When you fight ghost nicole and all the ghost baby necro's are chasing you.

When I start the fight, I have the following resources at hand:

- zero health packs
- force gun with 3 rounds
- line gun with 0 rounds

I'm not sure how i ended up with so few resources but it's making the fight pretty much impossible for me as I've died about 20 times and Im not even getting close to getting a good strategy going, due to having no ammo to start with. It takes all 3 force gun shots to incapacitate Nicole initially, and then the ghost necros start chasing me and i have zero ammo, so I need to use melee attack, but then I get swarmed and because I have no health packs, it just all goes downhill rather quickly from that point. Unfortunately the earliest save I have is chapter 13 and I have really low resources there too.

I picked a different save where I had the pulse rifle, plasma cutter and detonator. sold everything but the pulse rifle, maxed out my statis module, and was lucky to get through chapter 14 expending a minimum of ammo. ended up defeating ghost nicole on first try this morning, such a relief!
