Ordered a new computer which should come soon, so I am now shopping for RAM to upgrade it. However I'm not too sure about what the standard memory speed is now so I'm not sure what memory kit to get. I've seen kits being sold as 1066, 1333, and 1600.
I've bought OCed DDR2 memory before, but now I just want to get a standard memory kit to avoid the hassles I've heard are involved with DDR3 memory. What speed memory should I buy? The computer is a Dell mini tower 460 which was on sale a few days ago if that helps.
Can 1066 kits OC reliably to 1333 speeds? I doubt the Dell bios will allow OCing the system so just want sticks that are cheap and work.
