Need Help with CPU Temp Diode v. Socket

As I'm OC'ing the rig below, I am trying to monitor temps as is often suggested. In researching posts/guides regarding this subject there is apparantly a difference between socket temps and diode temps. Diode temps seems the more important.

My questions:

1) is diode temp from the core (or some internal part) of the cpu?

2) is socket temp from the little "probe looking-thing" under the cpu that one can see before installing the cpu?

3) Is it true the NF7-S does not report diode temps?

4) If #3 is true, how to rectify this oversight on Abit's part?

As always, Thanks for sharing your knowledge/insights

BTW, if #4 can be rectified, how get mbm5 to monitor the second (diode) temp?

Common prblem with reads and let the Mind adjust the Temps cause NO holds true in your ?'s (cept 3) and I wonder how accurate that is!
