Need Help With CPU Question

I want to upgrade my CPU. I have a Intel Pentium 4 1.5 Ghz that sucks. I already have a 128 Mb Radeon 9200 so im not worried about my video card. I just want to upgrade my CPU though. I dont want to buy a new motherboard cause im a little strapped for cash. I need to know what kind of CPU would be good for me. I have a P4B-LX motherboard what kind of CPU would fit with minimum trouble,

According to Asus, it can take cpu to 2.6G with a BIOS update.
