Hi, I purchased a bare processor, an E8400, and I have two fans on hand, one from a Celeron D440, the other from a P935. I'm trying to figure out which on to use. No overclocking.
The small one from a D440 is all aluminum, while the larger one has an embedded copper core. I know that the P935 ran pretty hot, so maybe the E8400 matches up better with the D440 fan? However, I notice that the D4400 draws .6amps, while the P935 fan draws .4amps.
Any suggestions? Am I splitting hairs here?
thx,
brad
Note: Also, the D440 fan has 3-wire connector, and the P935 is a 4-wire.
