Ok so I have 4 fans in this thing, the stock Intel HS/f, a 50mm Fan, an 80mm fan, and the PSU fan blowing down into the system as an intake.

The 50mm is an exhaust, and seems to be blowing a ton of air. The 80mm fan sits atop my Radeon 8500DV, as the TV tuner makes insane heat. I cannot place it over the underside of the core/memory like I used to, as a DVD drive mounted vertically prevents me from doing so. The clearance between video card and DVD is about 1/2 an inch.

The DVD drive also blocks about 1/2 of the airflow to the CPU cooler.

Do they make low-profile P4 HS/Fans, and If I bought one do you think it will run cooler than 58C?

Yeah, I too would be interested in something like this, but havent found one yet so far. I will need one if I get a Chilli Pro mATX.

I'm running an In Win L545 and hans007 seems to be running a similar rig, where you can read his comments here. link

Since then I installed a slot cooler, and it doesnt seem to be helping.

Your PSU fan is configured as intake?

I would reverse that, and have the PSU fan exhaust the air for starters. Reason being that hot air rises, so you want to pull air out at the top. Try it with both the PSU fan and the 50mm fan exhausting.

The PSU's fan I cant change, its proprietary. I have the slot cooler as exhaust, and the 50mm as exhaust. The only intake I hvae is the the PSU.

That is a unique power supply, I wonder if thats what the manufacturer wanted when they designed it?

These are just some thoughts on your current dilemna and will probably not be very helpful. Is your hs fan blowing down, if so I might turn it around and see what happens. Since the dvd is blocking some cool airflow trying sucking air through it. Not sure about the noise effect so if it don't work put it back. The ps fan seems to have limited airflow through the grill they designed, I would dremel out some of the metal to try and give it some more air. Changing the powersupply fan is a serious consideration since that's probably one of the biggest fans in the machine. Now for something that's a rumor started by myself right now. I could swear I saw a 10 mm wide fan that would fit in a half inch spot. I think it was a panaflo(probably wrong) that was quiet old and rare since they stopped making it, might help but probably won't have enough air circulating to be of much use. Try and trace the air flow, it looks to me that if the 50mm exhause is moving a bit of air there's a closed loop from the ps intake straight out. If you've got a lil digital thermometer try and see what the temp of the air is coming out see if you can get the air flowing more over the hs, if you can get the temp to rise you're in business cause it's less of that in the actual computer. I don't know if any of that will help but if it does post the results because I'm just as interested in the results as you are.

question about the power supply... what are the dimensions on it? 2.5x4x5 or 3x4x5? Does it have an 80mm fan on the bottom of the PS? Is that fan exposed or recessed into the power supply?
I have the yeong yang and the 200watt ps that came with it is loud. Its a 60x60x15mm fan on the backside. I cant stand it!

I just bought some high-output, thin Panaflo's from www.jameco.com

80mm x 80mm x 15mm thick $8.95

I replaced the 80mm fan in my YeongYang A102 150W powersupply and was able to get rid of that noisy OEM fan.

I then changed the wiring from 12V to 7V and have an even quieter powersupply. Overall case temp difference using 12V vs 7V with FBA08T12H was 2 degrees Celcius.
