Need help with computer surround speaker wires.

Hello - I just purchased a set of Logitech z5300e 5.1 speakers. The satellite/surround/ and center channel speakers all hook into the subwoofer via the speaker wires that are already connected to the satellites - the other end goes into the subwoofer via an RCA type plug.

Here is my dilema. I have a room that is already pre-wired for surround sound. However, the speaker jacks that are on my walls are made for the wire to slide into them (two wires per speaker red/black) - I think they are banana plug style. So, how do I get the RCA speaker wires to work with these type of connectors? Is there an adapter? Do I need to splice into the RCA wires to reveal a red and black that would then hook into my banana plug jacks?

I would appreciate the help!!!!

Edit : I made a mistake. I didn't mean banana plug wall connectors, I actually have binding posts - How do I make these work with the speaker wires that have an RCA type connector on them?

You can convert the wall receptacle/plates to female rca type from home depot or radio shack
or buy a female molded rca connecter with blank lead and connect to existing binding post from radio shack
I wouldn't readily butcher the speaker leads

How much did that inwall speaker wire cost 😉

I found the male RCA to 2 wires but not the female to wires. You could get some F-F adapters to hook up to the male ends coming out of the speaker to hook to those and you wont have to do any cutting. I'm sure there's some female rca to bare wire adapters out there, but I didn't find any at partsexpress, radioshack, cablesforless, or bluejeanscables.

I'm not so sure how cutting cables would go... I think your success would be dependent on how the wire was constructed on the inside.

If you want to try cutting, I think 5 extension RCA cables it what would work best.
3 of these would work I think. You'll get 6 female ands and 6 male ends out of it.

I don't know which part of RCA cables is + or -. Just stay consistent if you can figure out which wire in the middle of the cable goes with which part of the connector on the end. If it gets messed up, your speakers are going to be out of phase.
