need help with computer specs/building

my friend wants to put a computer in his explorer suv. the main purpose of it will be to play DVD's, mp3's and divx movies. he wants to attached it to a lcd tv u buy for cars also. he is trying to get a small cheap computer.

what are the min req's to do this?

he is thinking of building one of those mini itx mobo cases to save a lot of space and using the onboard sound/video to.

please help. he wants to know what he should do.

Perhaps he'd be interested in SFF cases from Shuttle? Little boxes with tons of power 🙂, some have onboard video and sound.

Sorry, I really don't know what a computer would need to play DVD movies (not sure if videocard needs special features), but I know it really doesn't need too much CPU power to run such programs.
