Need help with Compaq Deskpro

Hi guys,
I have a compaq Deskpro with a P3 600. I have bought a 60GB Maxtor HDD recently. My BIOS didn't recognize the drive and told me it was just a 30 GB. But when I used the floppy disk wich came with the HDD to install the HDD it installed something called as 'EZ-BIOS" and now my system can see the whole of 60 GB 🙂. My questions
1) Is there a BIOS update for the compaq machines?
2) Can I install NT on this drive and if I convert it to NTFS what will be the maximum size of the partition?

Robot.

really you shouldn't have a prob w/ converting to ntfs really it is just a recognition thing really if you want to know try getting rid of the ez bios and see if you can get the whole 60GB because i know in the olden days that my mobo didn't support my HD size and i just tricked it by putting in the correct # of cylinders and something else and i got to use the whole drive

and when you said that ur bios didn't recognize it etc (that doesn't really matter)
did fdisk or whatever u partitioned it w/ recognize all 60GB when ur bios didn't
