Yeah, yeah...

I really miss two CDs I used to have but sold when things were tight.

One is DCTalk Free At Last and the other is Susan Ashton (her first one, has Benediction and Down On my Knees on it).

Anyway, I want a list of the songs that are on those albums so I can get them from Napster. Hey, I bought the albums once already!

Edit:just one or two tracks until I replace them! This is the first time we have ever really done this, and it's just been stuff we already have and can't replace all at one time. The cost of replacing tapes and albums (you know, those plastic things) is staggering!

Thanks in advance...

Socially Acceptable....

I can help you with the Susan Ashton one, that album was "Wakened by the Wind", and we listen to it quite often!

1. Down on my knees
2. No one knows my heart
3. Benediction
4. Ball and chain
5. I hear you
6. Land of Nod
7. In my Father's hands
8. In amazing Grace land
9. Suffer in silence
10. Beyond Justice to Mercy

Isla--I too had DC Talk's "Free at Last" album...the tape is buried in our basement somewhere--not sure I'd ever find it but I'll have a look for ya. My favorite song was "lean on me".
Here are some of the songs I remember:
-Love is a verb
-She's that kind of girl
-I don't want it(your sex for now)
-Jesus is just alright
-The hard way
-Free at last
-Lean on me
-Time(is tickin'away)

My memory fails after that. Hope that helps!

Thanks guys. I've requested replacements for Christmas, and until then I will enjoy what I can find!

Happy listening!

BTW, I've seen Susan Ashton and DCTalk in concert. Awesome, awesome talents!

DC Talk's Free at Last, list of songs can be found here.

Susan Ashton's Vol. 1-So Far...Best of Susan Ashton is the only one I could find that had Down on my knees. None of hers listed on the site had Benediction. Anyway, that album's list can be found here.

If the links don't work when you try them (which they might not because of how their page works), just do a search on their site and you'll find what those 2 albums rather quickly. I find cdnow.com handy for looking up track lists.

BTW, for those of you badmouthing people who use Napster, a quote from Cruel Intentions puts it well: "Everybody does it, it's just that nobody talks about it."

Yep capn, I even saw.... *gasp* Petra in concert!

hmmm, Pretender, thank you for the word in my defense. frankly, I had no idea it was a distasteful thing. The funny thing is, I NEVER used Napster before last week. I have spent so much money (and continue to do so) on CDs etc, I never even thought for a second i was doing anything 'wrong'. Mostly I have been looking for stuff that I already have but can't play because I don't have a record player or a cassette player anymore. All my lovely Alan Parsons Albums, collecting dust... Every Styx album imaginable, on 8 track....

How many times I am supposed to pay for the same music?

I mean, I have ALL the Disney tapes on video and now I am slowly replacing them with DVDs.

I just don't see how I am ripping anyone off...

Oh well. Judge not....

I use napster/scour/ftp to find music I like, then I buy the CD. If you have bought the CD and lost it you have full rights to the mp3s. Mp3s aren't inherently illegal, the only thing which is illegal is have mp3s that you do not own a hardcopy of.

Isla, I've seen Petra in concert too, this was maybe 6 or 7 years ago though. I was only there for about 30 minutes. :)

I've got dctalk free at last, plus one or two susan ashton cds. If you can't find anything else I can encode them for ya. Just send me an email if you want that.

Psst, you guys want old school? Try out Daniel Amos or Resurrection Band(before and after their name change to Rez Band).
