The Asus A7V133 is an excellent board. That's what I have. UpgradePlanet has the the CPU for $268 (shipping included), meaning the SuperOrb costs $32. You're paying way too much for the HSF. You can find Globalwin FOP38 for $25 and FOP32-1 for $20 easy, and they much better HSFs. The downside to FOP38 is the noise (loudest 60mm fan), and all FOPs have horrible clips.

The MB does support RAID 0 and putting 2 hard drives in RAID does increase performance.

I have a ABIT KT7A-raid and can recommend it without hesitation. I have been FU--ED By ASUCK three times with buggy or bad OC-support in the past. Will stay away in the future.
