Hey guys I need some help with a Cendyne 4x DVD-R/RW drive. I got in on the Staples deal on Sunday, the drive arrived yesterday. I installed the drive, Win XP saw the drive fine as a Pioneer DVR-105. I then tried my existing version of Nero. No luck, Nero didn't see the drive so I updated my version of Nero and the drive was recognized. First problem solved.
Next using the new Nero, Nero would not recognize the DVD-RW disc that came with the drive. It says the drive is empty. Firmware was 1.00 at the time so I updated to the new Pioneer 1.21 firmware but still had the same problem in Nero. The drive is working in that I played a DVD movie in it just fine. I don't get why Nero won't see that there is a disc in the drive. It's the Princo DVD-RW disc that came with the drive. Has anyone else had this problem. I'm sure there is a simple way to solve it just need a push in the right direction. Thanks.
