Need help with CD-R, please!

I'm getting some problems with my cd-r. It used to work fine, but recently it been giving me problems. I can burn HDD to CD, and music CDs only. When I try to do a CD to CD copy or when I try to burn a .bin file, the CD gets messed up... it doesn't copy completely. This happens every time. I've tried it a couple of times.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

What's the error messages you're getting? Buffer underruns? Try closing all apps before burning...

When I use "Fireburner", it goes through the test burn, but in the last step it gets messed up. It says "Thread 2: terminated". I can't remember the error I get with cdr-win. I stoped using that because it doesn't have a test burn.
I'm not sure why this happens to cd to cd and when buring .bin files.
