Need help with Canon zr45mc video camcorder

I have been using this borrowed Canon video camera for over a year and have filled up all of the tapes. I want to transfer all of this video and put it on my computer. The book doesn't help at all unless it has to do with the memory card. I have a usb cable and another cable but I have no idea what to do now.

I have less than 24 hours to get this stuff off of the tapes before the owner takes back the camera. Please help!

You need a firewire cable and a computer with a firewire port. From there hopefully you have a piece of software that will be able to import it for you.
