Hello, thiis is my first post...in these days i am going to buy a new desktop... i decided to register to this forum because it seems to be very active and useful 😀.

I need a gaming PC....700 euros

This is my configuration:

-> Intel Core i5 2400 3.1 Ghz (Sandy Bridge) socket LGA 1155 Box. ( 170 eur.)

-> Asus Motherboard P8Z68-V socket LGA 1155 chipset Intel Z68 ATX (160 eur.)

-> Corsair Memory Dimm XMS3 8Gb (2x4Gb) ddr3 1333 MHz Unbuffered CL 9-9-9-24 (60 eur.)

-> Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 1 Gb ddr5 Pci-E DVI-I Dual Link / DVI-D Single Link / HDMI / 2x Mini-Display Port Sapphire Design (150 eur.)

-> Coolermaster Case Middle Tower Centurion 5 II Colore Nero (60 eur.)

-> Coolermaster 500 Watt Elite Power System Integrator Versione Bulk (35 eur.)

-> Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 1 Tb Sata 300 Buffer 32 Mb 7200 Rpm (50 eur.)

Tot-> 685 Eur.

My monitor is old....Sony SDM-HS95..i'll change it but not now...

What do you think?..Suggestions are welcomed 😀..

Two major things I see:
1. Coolermaster doesn't make the best PSUs. [post=32293623]Suggested brands[/post], in the US anyway, are Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, XFX.
2. I don't know Euro pricing, but a motherboard that costs nearly as much as a 2400 processor seems expensive. Alot of people like the ASRock Z68 Pro3, or various comparable Gigabyte boards. But seeing as how you have no SSD and a processor that can't overclock, you could just as well go for an H61 board for half that price.

If you've saved enough money now, consider a 6950 over a 6870. Or consider waiting for the 7000 series.

Fully agreed. Nothing else to say either, except welcome to Anandtech forums.

I've changed the board to this 1 -> ASROCK
Motherboard P67EXTREME4 (Rev. B3) socket LGA 1155 chipset Intel P67 ATX (P67 because i read that will support the new intels)

I changed case to -> ANTEC
Case Six Hundred V2 Midi Tower

This PSU is good? -> CORSAIR 600 Watt G2

I think i ll buy this video SAPPHIRE
Radeon HD 6950 1 Gb ddr5 Pci-E DVI-I Dual Link DVI-D Single Link HDMI Display Port Sapphire Design Full Retail..is it good?

"Ivy Bridge processors are seamlessly compatible with existing LGA1155 platforms, and 'Cougar Point' P67, H67, H61, Z68, chipsets, although it will come with its own 7-series chipset." http://www.techpowerup.com/143951/Intel-Ivy-Bridge-Feature-Set-Detailed.html

Depends on what you're paying for it. It's a Corsair so it'll be very stable and capable of outputting more than its rated wattage, but the efficiency is only 80Plus. I would want at least 80Plus Bronze - but again, it depends on what you're paying for this unit, and how much a 500-600W 80+ Bronze unit from Seasonic, Antec or Corsair would cost.

6950 1GB is a decent card, yes. I think that's a single fan cooler isn't it? It's not a big issue but I would want MSI's Twin Frozr II, it's a better cooler.

But whether that's a good choice right now depends really on when you plan on upgrading your monitor. If you're planning to go 1080p very soon, then it's a decent choice. If you're planning to go 1080p next year, then you'd be just fine with a 6870 until then since your monitor resolution is only 1280x1024 (right?). You could upgrade the 6870 to a 7xxx series card along with the monitor then.

Could u suggest me a good Psu?

As I said, the Corsair 600W is good depending on what the price is. It is slightly overkill for your build though, you'd be fine with 500W or even 430W provided it's a good quality unit. Where are you buying your stuff from and what Corsair, Antec and Seasonic units do you have available? Or XFX too, they are Seasonic built.
