Need help with bios password on dell latitude!!

hi i have read posts about ressetting bios password on dell latitude, really struggling with mine. My daughter has forgotten password for windows and cant format without bios password as wont let me change boot device. model is e5520 service tag is jdgvbt1-1d3b

any help would be godsend

Depending on how technically adept you are, you should be able to just pull the CMOS battery from the computer.

The latitude is a notebook, and deliberately must be done by contacting Dell. Best advice - never install a BIOS password. If you must, record it in a safe place. Your best bet is to call Dell and establish your ownership bonafides.

google for the exact make/model of the mobo

there should be a jumper that will do this
