WOOHOO... it looks like it might be working... the above was only telling me that it didn't find corresponding .msg files for some headers. Oh well... some is WAY better than none... and it looks like the vast majority are going to work out fine!

does m0243129.msg exist? I thought you said there was one .hdr and one .msg file for each, both with the same filename?
