Has anyone gotten 1080i out to work? The only mode I've gotten working is 480p (which is a very nonstandard 640x432, and while cutoff a bit, BF1942 was AWSOME on the 36" HDTV. Operation Flashpoint is the only game I've seen that supports HDTV resolutions.). I'm using the Catalyst 2.4's on an ATI 9700 Pro, outputting to an older Sony XBR 36" that supports 480i, 480p & 1080i. Like I said, the only mode I can get working is 480p. In the control panel for output on YPbR (or whatever) it has the defualt modes checked matching the tv based on what I chose on the dongle's dipswitches. These are unchangeable. The third row has optimized outputs, and the only one selectable is 480p (which is what it is defaulting to). You can enable the second custom row and tell it to change to 1080i and after rebooting it appears to be 1080i but I can never hit a resolution that matches up nor will it force it to one (like when choosing 480p). The other problem with 1080i is there are no valid refresh rates for the TV--at any refresh it flickers in 1080i. The lowest selectable are 43hz interlaced or 47hz interlaced, and for some reason I have the impression the TV is 30hz but I'm not sure. Help is much appreciated!
P.S. What are the exact resolutions and refresh rates for all the HDTV display modes?
