Need help with ASUS P5B-E and RAID setup

I'm building a new Computer with a E6600, ASUS P5b-E, and using 2 320G seagates. I want to run RAID 1 using the Intel ICH8R controller.

I've set up the Raid in the BIOS, do the CNT-I deal to set up the raid in that Disk menu. After that windows starts loading and I hit F6 to load the drivers for the Intel ICH8R. After loading the drivers windows continues loading but then gets to a point where it says it can't copy the iastor.* file (the 242K size one). After skipping that file because it won't load the windows load kicks out later with an error.

I've tried a bunch of times. Used different floppys. Tried the drivers that come on the disk with the motherboard. Tried the drivrs from the Intel site.

Help! Why won't that file copy during the windows load?

Thanks,

George

This might sound crazy but I do beleive those files are stored in the memory (windows creates a virtual drive on the system memory) Try different memory modules.
