UPS made the last delivery today. Its an Asus A8N SLI with dual BFG 6800 GTs. I've got everything together, (haven't installed my sound card yet), and it POSTs fine. I have a few questions about setting up the BIOS before I install windows.

1. How do I tell which version I am running. When I hit the del key on start up, it goes right into the Bios. I never see a version number.

2. In the BIOS section of the manual, under Power/Hardware Monitor, the last three items are Q-Fan1 Stop Temperature, Q-Fan1 Start Temperature, and Q-Fan1 Full Speed Temperature. The actual BIOS menu does not have these three settings. Instead it has one setting, CPU Target Temperature. The options are from 51 to 81 deg C in 3 deg increments. It is set to 72 degrees. Why is this different than the manual, and isn't that a bit high of a target temp? What should I set this to?

3. In the BIOS, under Advanced/PCIPnP, the first setting is Plug & Play O/S. The options are Yes/No. I am going to install WinXP Pro. I know this is a PnP O/S, but is there any reason I would want to set this to No?

4. The last setting under Advanced is SLI. This has options of Auto/Normal/SLI. It was set to Auto. Since I am running two boards, do I want to leave it at Auto or set it to SLI? In addition, I plan to run two monitors for use when I am not gaming. I have heard that dual monitors will not work with SLI and that you have to keep switching back and forth. Is this the setting to do that, or is it a setting in the OS software that has to be switched?

TIA

Edit: Forgot to ask, at this point without having installed any software, is there a way to determine if SLI is working or not?
