I currently got a hold of an Asus A7V133 and loaded crappy WinME (korean version for my dad). For some reason I cannot find drivers for the audio. Its crazy, I download drivers from Asus, and a couple other websites such as windrivers, nodevice, and some other random sites and yet it wont take.

Has anyone had any problems with this? Or anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I've never tried using x language drivers for y hardware.

Can someone answer if this would cause an issue?
I would think that the hardware wouldnt be a problem, but if they supply a library of error codes, or help files, that might cause a prob.

I believe the way windows in another language works, is that the actual programming is done in English but the gui interfaces are translated to whatever language.

does your audio device show in device manager? is it listed under unknown devices or under Sound, Video and Game Controllers?

have you been trying to update the drivers via device manager or has there been an install program?

you can get a clue as to whether you have the right device driver by looking 1st at the screen during boot up when the bios lists all the devices on screen, the bottom listing shows the PCI details (Vendor/Device code) and you can compare this with the details in the .inf file provided with the driver

so in the case of my audio driver, the .inf file contains the line
[TerraTec]
%DeviceName_TTP7%=TTP7.Device,PCI\VEN_1412&DEV_1712&SUBSYS_1138153B

which means the driver won't install unless it sees a device on the pci bus with exactly those details

finally, is the audio device enabled in the bios?
