Need help with an Epson photo 780 printer

I have an Epson Stylus photo 780 printer that I haven't used in quite a while. Now that I have a need for it, it won't print. I tried the nozzle cleaning utility about 5 times and the nozzle check and only got a blank page, no printing from any of the colors or black. Then I realized that the ink had probably dried out so I replaced the ink carts. I tried the nozzle cleaning again and the check. Again I did it at least 5 times, with the same results as before- blank pages. So is there any other way to clean the nozzles or do I keep running the utility? The printer is good (other than this problem), although a bit slow, and I have extra ink carts on hand so can any of you help me save it? Thanks in advance. Lynn

if they are cheap ink cartridges, sometimes they can dry out a bit quicker in the pack than slightly better made ones.

How long has it all been sitting pretty?

Sorry for not answering your question sooner, but I haven't had time to get here for more than a couple of minutes for the past few days.
The printer hasn't been used for about 6 months. The new ink carts seem to be wet with ink. I did notice that a British site had a nozzle cleaning cart for the black ink. Does anyone know of a US site that has cleaning carts, both black and colors? Or is there a way to clean the nozzles manually. I usually use an old Canon for printing black but now I need to do some color printing. Lynn
