I've tried flashing this card with the 5900, 5900XT and (just for kicks) 5950 BIOS files found HERE. The 5950 doesn't boot, but the others DO with scrambled letters/ANSI characters and Windows behaves as if there's a bad pipe on the card.
It's driving me crazy! The BIOS on the card is clocked at 250/500 (DDR 1000) by default, with no 3D Performance mode. 🙁
The BIOS Reads:
NV35 P170-5 (256MB, No Perf) VGA BIOS
Version 4.35.20.12.00
Device ID is 0330, Sub Vendor and Sub Device ID are both 0000
VESA Product Name is NV35 Board - p170-5nz
Powerstrip reports:
Adapter ID: NVidia generic, Rev. A1
As I see it, I have three optoins: 1) Find a BIOS that will flash properly on this card; 2) Figure out how to turn on 3D Performance on the existing BIOS; 3) Accept what I have and overclock it for all it's worth.
Any ideas/suggestions that are worth making would be appreciated!
Joe
