Need help with an AVI file!

So I downloaded an AVI file off Kazaa. It has sound, but no video. I know it is the movie I downloaded (one I have a legal dvd of) because I can hear it and recofnize it. But there's no video at all! There has to be becuse its 900 megs! I have divs 5.05 installed, and this movie is encoded in Divx. What gives?

You may be missing the video codec. Download this program; it will tell you what codec the movie was encoded in.

gspot (great prog) says its Divx 3 low motion. I have Divx 5.05 installed. Gonna try installing Divx 3.11 alpha over the top of it

Have you tried opening the video in VirtualDub?

no I havent' will give it a try tomorrow. Arrgh, spent like th last 5 days getting this 900 meg beast, not gonna delete it without putting up a figt first!

dicx 5,05 cut out support for divx 3 low motion. If you can find Divx 5.02, it would work.

Use nimo pack just google it thats what I use. Ooo and just so you know kazaa suxors for movies
