Need Help with an ASUS P5N-E SLI LGA 775

I can't get this board to boot. Here's what happened I upgraded to a i7 920 setup so I took my ASUS P5N-E, 6gb G-Skill RAM, Intel e6400, 2 DVD-ROMS and ATI 4850 out of my case and put it in another case. I hooked up an extra hard drive I had, put in a 475 watt Enermax power supply turned it on and it got stuck at the start up screen where does the system check. I restarted and tried again with the same result. I then cleared the CMOS and tried again but with no luck. I press the DEL key and it says "entering setup" but it just hangs. So far these are the things I have done to try and get this to work.

-taken out all sticks of RAM but 1 and tried all the memory banks
-tried the same OCZ 700 watt PSU I was using in my main computer
-tried a different GPU (ATI x1950)
-tried a USB keyboard and mouse rather than the PS/2 ones I was using
-unplugged all the optical and HDD and tried booting
-took the mother board out of the case and tried booting with just the GPU and RAM in it.

I'm not sure exactly where to go from here. This setup was working less than 12 hrs ago, the only thing different is the hard drive.

Maybe try taking the heatsink and the cpu out and putting them back in? May have bumped it taking the mobo off.

GL, seems like you have tried most things. Hope I don't have those issues, will be doing the same thing this weekend for my i7 build. I've taken this build apart so many times without a problem though.

Turns out the the hard drive died. I plugged and old 40gb drive into it and it turned on with no problems. The hard drive I was using was in my main PC less than a month ago too, I guess I replaced it just in time.
