Need HELP with AMD CPU selection for Chyang Fun

I own the chyang fun CF-768 and I can use a Socket A processor ...

What I plan to do do is lower exhaust fans down to 7V and replace the power supply fan. That will result in higher temps in my case.

Should I get the XP2400+2.0ghz@1.65V or run a cooler Duron1.6ghz@1.5V ...

Ideally I'd like the XP1900+@1.5V but those are RARE and I can't guarantee I'll get one.

Thanks for the help!

Photoshop mostly (which isn't too CPU intensive). I will sometimes convert some of my CD's to MP3 using LAME (CPU intensive).

I guess my real concern is whether my temps will be too high if i use the XP2400+

If you are running Photoshop, and LAME I would go with the XP2400+. These have been oc'd with stock heatsinks, so I woudn't worry about heat.

Crap! I bought the AMD XP2400+ (thorton too!) and fit it with the SVC GC68 heatsink and a 3050 RPM Fan and get 51 degrees (IDLE!!!) temp

Should I pay Newegg's restocking fee?

actually i got one of these and used an athlon 1.4ghz tbird and yea it gets hot in there. but then again im running it with one of the hottest running CPUs known to man. I was also looking for a different CPU to go into my system and thought maybe a duron 1.6. you guys know if that will run in this SFF? i think the heat is due to the bad airflow. two tiny fans won't do much for cooling. I added a slot fan to get some more airflow but it is still in the 50s for the amd 1.4ghz.
