Need help with Acrobat 7 pro lockups

Hi people.
Acrobat 7 pro commonly lock up on my system. What's more annoying is the I can't terminate (end task) it task manager applications, and Acrobat.exe in Processes, thus I have to cut the power and reboot everytime this happenes. I do have the latest updates for xp home, firefox, acrobat 7, etc. I have tried downloading PDF and open vs. open from firefox and I still have this problem. Any ideas? Thank you.

Download a barebones version (no Plus this and that - uncheck boxes at the download site) and re-install.

If the problem persists, go back to ver 6.0.
